January 14 Updates (T+91 Days)

Thirteen weeks ago, a resource made for New York’s North Country was launched and since its inception there has been constant development, updates, and growth. First, the site’s audience expanded from primarily connecting individuals and families in crisis to service providers in the region. The beginning of that paradigm shift is reflected in the November 2020 update. Next, the site received additional resources for those in crisis as well as additional forms and resources for Continuum of Care (CoC) Service Providers in Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence Counties. In addition to new content, the existing content received some improved styling to help with readability, navigation, and to improve the overall user experience. The December 2020 update highlights those updates. Read more below about the changes that have been made since December!

Updates To CoC Provider Resources

Developers updated the resources for service providers in New York’s North Country and improved the page’s organization. The most significant addition to the resources page are the two new assessments for the Coronavirus Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG CV). One assessment is for singles in crisis and the other assessment is for families in crisis. In addition to the new resources, the style of the resources page was improved to help users navigate the different categories of resources. Lastly, The development team reorganized content to improve the readability of the content.

Links For Quick Access

In addition to the new content, the development team also created the following links for users to access specific parts of the website without having to navigate to the resources. All the user needs to do is click the link and access the resource.

Home Page Updates

The developers modified the landing page for the Points North Housing Coalition. The buttons on the landing page were relabeled to be shorter so the content is more mobile friendly.

The three main buttons are no more than 3 words and the assistance programs are only one word in length.
