New York State Launches Find Services App
New York State launched a new app in collaboration with Google.org to help New Yorkers find eligible services by using a short questionnaire. Try the app by visiting https://findservices.ny.gov/app/survey

On November 16th, 2020, New York State launched a new web application designed to help New Yorkers find services quickly by answering a simple three-step questionnaire. This tool was designed in partnership with Google.org to help New Yorkers, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, to access services based on their unique circumstances. By streamlining the process into a short survey, users of the tool can provide anonymous information to determine possible services the user may be eligible for.

New York is empowering its residents by equipping them with this tool to access information easily and quickly. With relevant information, those in crisis can find the services they need with ease shortening the timeline for someone to get the help they need. By addressing the needs of residents sooner, service providers will be more successful in providing services that lead to positive long-term outcomes.

How It Works

First, please visit the Explore Services App on the New York State website. Read the description of the app and press the Explore Services button to begin.

Step 1 of 3

The first screen of the app will ask the user some information about themselves. After the questions are answered, the user can click the continue button to move to the second question series.

Step 2 of 3

The second screen of the app will ask the user some information about their current living situation. After the questions are answered, the user can click the continue button to move to the third question series.

Step 3 of 3

The third screen of the app will ask the user some information about the people that they live with. After the questions are answered, the user can click the continue button to move to next screen to review their question answers.

Review Submission

The fourth screen of the app will ask the user to review the questions they answered for accuracy. After the answers are reviewed, the user can click the see services button to move to final screen to review their results.

Explore Services

The fifth screen of the app will provide the user with a list of potential services to connect the user with. The user can navigate the page, read the descriptions, and access the links.
